Costume Design Debut
This is an costumes I’ve had a pleasure to create for the androids (actually human models) working as a DJ & bartender at the fictional bar 【FIRN】, which is a part of a Ghost in the Shell exhibition:

Of course, for more than 10 years of my experience as character designer I’ve created a lot of costumes for fictional characters, and even had a pleasure to see some of them come to life thanks to an awesome cosplayers!
But, this gig is special for me because I designed those costumes specifically for the exact real people to wear in exact conditions, so while working on them I needed to think about a lot of things I don’t needed to worry about while designing a clothing for a game or anime, such as what kind of work the models will do and how long is their shift (using high heels or not), and what is the environment they are in (on which materials, colors and shapes to choose). The environment is dimly lit but with a lot of screens and neon lights, so overall white color and reflectivity of the costumes will make the girls easier to find at the event and make them the center of it, give them ethereal, android-like features.
